What is a Discovery Call?

A discovery call is a free 30 minute session held over zoom where we see if we would work well together. You get to ask me your ADHD coaching questions. I get to ask you about what you are looking for. This call allows us both to test the waters to see if we are a good match. If not, we part ways wishing each other the best. If so, we discuss how best to move forward by scheduling an Initial Consultation.

What should I prepare for my Initial Consultation?

Upon scheduling your initial consultation, you will be emailed a welcome package that will outline things like consent, current struggles, and short and long-term goals. In this package, you will receive information on policies and procedures, and receive resources that you can complete in preparation for our initial consultation that will highlight your strengths.

Do I have to have an ADHD diagnosis to work with you?

Most ADHD strategies are helpful for everyone, regardless of having an ADHD brain. As a certified ADHD Coach, I can work with anyone, regardless of whether they have an ADHD diagnosis. Many people even with ADHD, don't have a formal diagnosis, and this is not a requirement.

Do you know anything about ADHD Medications?

While any medication you choose to go on for ADHD is to be determined by your Physician or Nurse Practitioner, I am familiar with the medications used for ADHD.

Is Coaching therapy? Is it covered by insurance?

Coaching can be covered by insurance if you have a health spending account. It is not therapy, though.

I do not see you as broken. You are filled with strengths, talents and capacities and sometimes these become overshadowed by a build-up of clutter. As a coach, I will be your thinking partner and go through the steps that you might otherwise skip as you think quickly in your own head, helping you discover those solutions that you already possess, underneath those distracting thoughts.
